If your Trip Card is denied for insufficient funds, here's what to do:
- Check the Balance: Immediately scan the QR code on the back of the card with your phone.
- What the Balance Shows:
- If the balance is $0.00: You won't be able to make a purchase until an upcoming allotment is disbursed. Upcoming allotments will be displayed below the balance when you scan the QR code.
- If the balance is less than the purchase amount: Ask the merchant to split the payment. Run the Trip Card for the amount available first, then pay the remaining balance with a different form of payment.
